Cookies and How We Use Them

  1. Bing cookies:
    1. MR: This is a Microsoft MSN 1st party cookie which we use to measure the use of the website for internal analytics
    2. MR2: This cookie is used to measure the use of the website for internal analytics.
    3. MUID: This cookie carries out information about how the end user uses the website and any advertising that the end user may have seen before visiting the said website. The main purpose of this cookie is: Targeting/Advertising

  2. PHP related cookies:
    1. PHPSESSID: The PHPSESSID cookie is native to PHP and enables websites to store serialized state data. On the Action website, it is used to establish a user session and to pass state data via a temporary cookie, which is commonly referred to as a session cookie.
    2. add_to_cart: Used by Google Tag Manager. Captures the product SKU, name, price and quantity removed from the cart, and makes the information available for future integration by third-party scripts.
    3. guest-view: Stores the Order ID that guest shoppers use to retrieve their order status. Guest orders view. Used in “Orders and Returns” widgets.
    4. login_redirect: Preserves the destination page that was loading before the customer was directed to log in. A login redirect is used with the mini cart for logged-in customers if the Display Mini Cart configuration option is set to Yes.
    5. mage-banners-cache-storage: Stores banner content locally to improve performance.
    6. mage-messages: Tracks error messages and other notifications that are shown to the user, such as the cookie consent message, and various error messages. The message is deleted from the cookie after it is shown to the shopper.
    7. mage-translation-storage: Stores translated content when requested by the shopper. Used when Translation Strategy is configured as “Dictionary (Translation on Storefront side)”.
    8. mage-translation-file-version: Tracks the version of translations in local storage. Used when Translation Strategy is configured as Dictionary (Translation on Storefront side).
    9. product_data_storage: Stores configuration for product data related to Recently Viewed / Compared Products.
    10. recently_compared_product: Stores product IDs of recently compared products.
    11. recently_compared_product_previous: Stores product IDs of previously compared products for easy navigation.
    12. recently_viewed_product: Stores product IDs of recently viewed products for easy navigation.
    13. recently_viewed_product_previous: Stores product IDs of recently previously viewed products for easy navigation.
    14. remove_from_cart: Used by Google Tag Manager. Captures the product SKU, name, price and quantity added to the cart, and makes the information available for future integration by third-party scripts.
    15. stf: Records the time messages are sent by the SendFriend (Email a Friend) module.
    16. X-Magento-Vary: Configuration setting that improves performance when using Varnish static content caching.
    17. amz_auth_err: Used if Enable Login with Amazon is enabled. Value 1 indicates an authorization error.
    18. amz_auth_logout: Used if Enable Login with Amazon is enabled. Value 1 indicates that the user should be logged out.
    19. form_key: A security measure that appends a random string to all form submissions to protect the data from Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF).
    20. mage-cache-sessid: The value of this cookie triggers the cleanup of local cache storage. When the cookie is removed by the backend application, the Admin cleans up local storage, and sets the cookie value to true.
    21. mage-cache-storage: Local storage of visitor-specific content that enables ecommerce functions.
    22. mage-cache-storage: Local storage of visitor-specific content that enables ecommerce functions.
    23. mage-cache-storage-section-invalidation: Forces local storage of specific content sections that should be invalidated.
    24. persistent_shopping_cart: Stores the key (ID) of persistent cart to make it possible to restore the cart for an anonymous shopper.
    25. private_content_version: Appends a random, unique number and time to pages with customer content to prevent them from being cached on the server.
    26. section_data_ids: Stores customer-specific information related to shopper-initiated actions such as display wish list, checkout information, etc.
    27. store: Tracks the specific store view / locale selected by the shopper.
    28. mage-banners-cache-storage: Local storage for Banner functionality.
    29. gat: Used to throttle request rate.
    30. dc_gtm_: Throttles request rate when Google Analytics is deployed with Google Tag Manager.
    31. AMP_TOKEN: Contains a token that can be used to retrieve a Client ID from AMP Client ID service. Other possible values include opt-out, inflight request or an error retrieving a Client ID from AMP Client ID service.
    32. _gac_: Contains campaign-related information for the user. Google AdWords conversion tags read this cookie if Google Analytics is linked to your AdWords account.
    33. mg_dnt: Allows you to restrict Adobe Commerce data collection if you have custom code to manage cookie consent on your site.
    34. user_allowed_save_cookie: Used for cookie restriction mode.
    35. authentication_flag: Indicates if a shopper has signed in or signed out. This cookie is updated at the same time as the dataservices_customer_id cookie.
    36. dataservices_customer_id: Indicates if a shopper has signed in or signed out. This cookie does not contain the customer ID.
    37. dataservices_cart_id: Identifies a shopper’s cart actions.
    38. dataservices_product_context: Identifies a shopper’s product interactions.
